I sought out medical aesthetics in Singapore recently due to a condition I’ve noticed as I get older. I think we’ve all heard about someone having a turkey neck? That’s where the skin underneath your chin starts to visibly droop as you get older. I’m not quite to the point of turkey neck, thankfully, but I have noticed a loosening of the skin on the lower part of my face. The reason this happens is that your body doesn’t produce as much collagen as you get older. I needed some help to get that collagen flowing again so my skin would tighten up.
I actually tried just taking collagen supplements at first, but didn’t notice a difference after taking the pills for a few months. A friend who had the same condition suggested I look up an aesthetic clinic here in Singapore to get the help I needed. They apparently have several different techniques they can try to tighten up that sagging skin. I decided to give it a chance. What did I have to lose? Maybe a bit of money, but I could always try another procedure until I found the one that worked for my situation.
I made an appointment and went in and everything worked out very well on the first thing we tried, which is something they called Venus Legacy. It’s a non-invasive technique where they use radio and magnetic waves to force the tissue under your skin to start producing collagen. It didn’t hurt at all and I was in and out of the clinic in no time. At first I didn’t think it worked because it took some time for the collagen to appear and start to work. About a month later I noticed significant tightening of the skin and have gone in for other procedures to keep the collagen flowing. I look great!
